EVENT: SIWI '08 - In the Classroom and Beyond.
(Tuesday, August 19 through Thursday, August 21).
CITL's Summer Intensive Workshop Institute (SIWI) offers faculty an up-close and hands-on look at where university-level teaching and learning is headed, with and without technology. Highlights include: a tour of innovative GW learning spaces; workshops in podcasting, advanced PowerPoint, creating a blog in Blackboard, teaching in Second Life, and a student panel on learning. Faculty may attend all three days, or select dates. Program information will be forthcoming.

EVENT for New Faculty: A Day of Teaching Essentials. Friday, August 22, 9a-4:30p. Explore the many teaching tools available to you as a new GW faculty member, including Blackboard, iTunes U, Blogs & Wikis, and Elluminate Live. Then, engage with GW faculty as they talk about their teaching experiences at the University. Breakfast and lunch are provided with registration at the CITL Workshops page. Questions?
