Mediated Learning Certificate Program (2000)

This certificate program was designed to provide faculty with essential knowledge of distance and mediated education needed to successfully design and implement distance and mediated courses. This project was to be implemented collaboratively with the Center for Distance and Mediated Learning (CDML).

Instructional Technology Mailing List (1998)

This project involved the use of a ListServ© mailing list to discuss the effective implementation of instructional technologies. This effort was supported by Web based, live, or asynchronous presentations focusing on 'Why' and 'Which' of technology use.

  

Real Media Server (1997)

Starting in 1997, The ITL supports a Real Media Server for faculty and academic units that wish to stream multimedia content. Several projects are running on this server including: 'That's the Way it Was' with Walter Cronkite , Y2K Issues for Study Abroad- Briefing for study abroad administrations by the State Department.

 

Rotor Server (with CDML and GWTV) (1999)

The ITL working with Center for Distance and Mediated Learning (CDML) and GWTV supported a Rotor synchronous Web based course delivery system. The Rotor system provided access to streaming video, slides, polling, quizzes, and chat functions.

 

nCube Video Server (1997)

In coordination with the Prometheus Development Team, the ITL worked with an nCube Video Server that provides faculty with a high bandwidth network based video solution.
