Instructional Technology SupportThe CITL supports faculty efforts to effectively incorporate technology into university courses. Our goal is that the use of technology in teaching be based on sound pedagogical reasoning and objectives. The CITL provides assistance with the Blackboard Course Management System, iTunes U, and a variety of multimedia packages such as Captivate, Photoshop Elements, and Audacity. The Instructional Technology Lab distributes the SAS statistical software program to faculty and loans media equipment to support instructors’ creation of materials for a class. Faculty members can consult with CITL staff at one of our two locations – The Townhouse or the Instructional Technology Lab – regarding how they might leverage technology to enhance teaching and learning in specific courses. Faculty also may attend our workshops for further instructional technology training.
